Why we do mission

Romans 10:13-15 says: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

We have good news of great joy that is for all nations – the hope of eternal life is found in Jesus Christ. We need to tell others this good news so that they might hear, believe, and call on Jesus and so be saved. As such, we are committed to evangelism (telling people about Jesus) as a core function of mission – both individually (at work, school or to anyone we meet) and also as a church. We support a number of mission partners who work across the world telling people about Jesus and supporting Christians who are in need.
