Our Mission Partners

At Church@TheGreen we support various individuals and organisations both locally and internationally in their work bringing God's Word to people. Please see full details of our current partnerships below.

Nick and Harriet Algeo - The Gambia

Nick and Harriet moved to The Gambia in June 2018 to be involved with a small bible school - Servants of the Word (SOW). SOW was established in 2012 as a part time course to train local gospel workers in preaching and bible-teaching ministries. As of September 2019, SOW is now a full-time residential Bible school. Evangelical Christians make up less than 1% of the population of The Gambia and most Christian leaders have had no formal bible training. SOW is seeking to provide this training in an accessible way. As well as teaching at SOW, Nick and Harriet are seeking to make the most of other ministry opportunities, both in the local church and also evangelistically. They are grateful to be joined by their children Phoebe and Arthur and Olive. https://www.crosslinks.org/people-and-places/africa/nick-and-harriet-algeo/

Alyssa Carey and Claire Dent - UCCF

The changing face of student life sees many students affected by debt, loneliness and pressure. Increasingly few of these students have any church background, biblical knowledge or Christian faith. Some are hostile to the church but are surprisingly open to thinking about Jesus. Today’s student world is an unparalleled opportunity to share the good news of Jesus with a spiritually hungry generation. Working in partnership with local churches, Christian Unions are led by students and supported by UCCF Christian Union Staff Workers. They are non-denominational, welcoming students from different backgrounds, denominations and church traditions, and exist to give every student on campus an opportunity to hear about Jesus.

As Staff Workers for the Christian Unions in Reading and Surrey, Alyssa and Claire are part of the UCCF mission to give every student on campus the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. UCCF is made up of staff, students and supporters - all who are key in making this vision happen. Alyssa and Claire work alongside the Christian Union at The University of Reading (Alyssa and Claire) as well as the CU’s at the University of Surrey and UCA Farnham (Claire).

In the UK and Ireland Open Doors works to raise awareness of global persecution, mobilising prayer, support and action among Christians.
